Deodorant is something that all of us use, but some need it more than others. I am lucky and if I forgot deodorant, it really doesn’t matter as I don’t really sweat. My husband on the other hand, sweats profusely and if he forgets to wear deodorant, we all suffer! I know my husband is not alone as approximately 7 million adults and teens are clinically diagnosed with axillary hyperhidrosis (excessive underarm perspiration) and then there are still 40 million more that believe their perspiration is a problem.

Now there is new an over-the-counter solid antiperspirant that is prepared with prescription-strength formula (25% aluminium sesquichlorohydrate). It is actually the only over-the-counter antiperspirant with this ingredient. Certain Dri has been controlling excessive underarm prescription for more than three decades so I think they know what they are doing. Certain Dri Solid Anti-Perspirant is not only effective at reducing excessive underarm perspiration, but also for occasional perspiration due to stress, heat, sports, or occupation. Because of the therapeutic ingredients, Certain Dri Solid is best applied at bedtime. Now I have heard of putting deodorant on at night before, but this was the first time my husband has and he was skeptical. I had him try out this deodorant since he needed it more and it seemed to work good for him.

Certain Dri also says it doesn’t need to be applied every night to start reducing perspiration and it will last for 72 hours. It also won’t wash off after showering or bathing. My husband did though put on deodorant in the morning to feel refreshed and out of habit, but he did notice he sweat less and the only change was adding in Certain Dri into his bedtime routine. I like that Certain Dri. costs between $5-$6, which is less than all the other prescription-strength anti-perspirants I have seen.

Certain Dri also makes a A.M. Scented Underarm Refresher with a “Morning Fresh” scent which sounds interesting to me. There is also the original Certain Dri Anti-Perspirant Roll-On.
