Over 50 years ago in Sweden, a company called Nowali began producing traditional moccasins.  Back then it they were sewn by hand, and I was surprised to find out that they are still stitched by hand today!  Think of them as moccasin soles on slippers and you have Nowali moccasins.

I received a pair of Nowali moccasins to try out for Gavin and at first I noticed by adorable they are!  I mean when I think of moccasins, I think of brown suede and fringe, but Nowali offers tons of kid-friendly styles in various colors and patterns.  I really think these would be great for any aged child, infant and up, because at least with my boys, they have never been able to keep their socks on.  The sizes start at 3 months and it depends on the style how big they get (but they do carry a pair for adults too!)

With the moccasins, Gavin doesn’t seem to mind them at all and he especially likes the cute frog on them.  I love that they have a No-Slip leather sole and are machine washable.  Since most of our house is hardwood and in the basement it is always cold, I love that I can slip these on him and not have to worry that he will slip and slide or have cold feet.

I was also impressed with the quality of the Nowali Frog moccasins we received.  I would definitely recommend that every kid have at least one pair of these.  Gavin had no problem walking around in them and he didn’t even try to take them off!  I love too that I can get these for in bigger sizes so I can get these for both my boys as they grow.  I put these on over Gavin’s socks, but you really don’t need any socks on as the moccasins do the job of keeping your feet warm.

Other than moccasins, Nowali also offers socks and tights, all with the same high quality materials and worn by kids all around the world.  All the socks come in adorable styles and look warm and cozy, while the tights come in girly patterns and make me want to wear them myself.  They even have suspender tights that look perfect for crawling babies.
