Just in time for the Winter Olympics, I was able to play along as I played Family Party 30 Great Games Winter Games.  I admit, first I was disappointed because I couldn’t use my Wii Balance Board to play, but it didn’t matter.  The games were still fun and I loved how there are so many to games to choose from.  I actually haven’t been able to play all 30 games yet but I have played a decent amount already.

There are competition games and playground snow activities, and I love that you can have four players playing at the same time.  So far I have just played by myself, but I am adding this to our list for get together.  I remember when games were only one player, then two players and now with four player options it is really perfect for parties or just family time!

To play the game you first pick from over a dozen characters (you cannot use your own Mii character) and if you’d like dress them up in customizable winter outfits.  As you play games like Ice Race, Footprint, Ski Jump, Penguin Drift, Figure Skate, Ice Mining and more you unlock new games and challenges to achieve high scores.  You even win medals!  Play alone or choose Challenge or Battle Mode in multiplayer Co-Op teams for the first time.  I admit this game was a little tricky to master at first but that is only because I was skipping the directions and each game is different.  I highly recommend taking the time to learn how each game works and then you will be able to really enjoy it!

Overall, I would recommend this game to anyone.  It is full of fun games and definitely enough to keep you busy for a while.  I was also pleasantly surprised that the graphics were really good and not cheesy, especially for how low the price of the game is!  I just read too that this game is the latest’s in the top-selling, iParenting award winning Family Party franchise, so I will definitely have to check out their other games!
